Omaha man injured in single-vehicle accident near Pilger

PILGER, Neb. -- Authorities said that an Omaha man was hurt in an accident in northeast Nebraska Saturday morning.
Stanton County Sheriff's office that that at 7:00 a.m. they were notified of a single-vehicle rollover accident resulting in an injury neat the Highway 15 and 834th Road intersection. This is about six miles south of Pilger.
Stanton County officials said that the accident happened when a vehicle, driven by a 41-year-old Omaha man, was heading north had left Hwy 15 and entered the east ditch striking a creek bed and rolling.
Authorities said that the man was a lone occupant, and he had been found outside the vehicle by a passerby.
Officials said that it was unclear to when the accident had happened as well as if the man had been ejected from his vehicle.
Authorities said that seatbelts did not appear to be in use, and the driver was stabilized by Pilger Fire and Rescue. He was then transported from the scene by LifeNet medical helicopter to a trauma center in Sioux City, Iowa.
The accident remains under investigation.
