Fonner Park in quarantine after confirmed cases of EHV-1
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Two horses have been put down, and Fonner Park is continuing efforts to make sure two confirmed cases of neurological equine herpes does not spread.
The facility confirmed that the the symptoms became present in multiple horses on Wednesday.
After tests confirmed the presence of EHV-1, the barn where the horses were housed was put under quarantine, affecting approximately 100 horses.
