BROKEN BOW, Neb.-- A traffic headache in Central Nebraska on Tuesday.

An accident involving a semi-trailer caused a closure at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 21 in Broken Bow for several hours Tuesday morning.

Officials say a semi-trailer that was overloaded with metal pipes was driving west on Highway 2.

As the vehicle began to turn into Highway 21, the weight of the pipes made the trailer top-heavy and it began to tip.

The pipes broke loose of the straps and crashed onto the sidewalk.

One of the pipes made contact with the Veterans Memorial causing minor damage.

No injuries were reported.
