Semi catches fire in McCook Wednesday afternoon

The truck was picking up a load of popcorn in central Nebraska to be delivered to Texas before it caught fire.

MCCOOK, Neb. -- A semi truck caught fire near 3rd and B Streets in McCook  Wednesday afternoon.

The truck was picking up a load of popcorn to be delivered to Texas before it caught fire. The person who called in the fire believed that the driver was unaware the vehicle was on fire.

The McCook Police and Fire Departments responded and were able to stop the semi. The McCook Fire Department extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
