LINCOLN - For the second time, a state prison staffer has tested positive for COVID-19.

State prison officials announced Sunday that a worker at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center in Lincoln has the coronavirus.

State prison director Scott Frakes said that staffer has been isolated at home for five days and said they had no close contact with staff members or inmates.

Two state corrections workers have tested positive for COVID-19. State corrections officials tell News Channel Nebraska that no inmates have required testing.

Currently, all corrections workers are required to wear masks at work and have their temperatures checked when they show up for work each day.
