BEATRICE, Neb. - Orangemen Basketball has their new head coach. 

Jackson Weeks has been announced as the programs new leader, entering his 12th season of coaching experience. Weeks began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Doane University for two seasons before spending the next five seasons as an assistant coach at Auburn High School.

Most recently, he has served as the co-head coach at Auburn High School alongside his father, longtime Beatrice coach Jim Weeks. As an assistant coach, Coach Weeks was the head JV coach and played a crucial role in leading the Bulldogs to three consecutive state championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021 and six consecutive state final appearances (3 as an assistant and 3 as co-head coach). During this period,the Bulldogs achieved a remarkable 67-game winning streak, which stands as the third-longest in Nebraska state history.

A 2012 graduate of Beatrice High School, Coach Weeks comes from a strong basketball lineage,between his father Jim Weeks and his brother Jalen Weeks who’s currently serving as the head coach of the Beatrice Lady O basketball team.
