LINCOLN, NE - The Johnson-Brock Eagles claimed a third-straight championship in boys basketball on Saturday, revving past Howells-Dodge, 61-46, in the Class D1 Title Game as heard on B103.

The Eagles held a better than 2-to-1 advantage in turnovers (15-7), and they went plus-11 at the free throw line (14/18 to 3/8). Howells-Dodge tried to stay in it with fantastic precision from downtown (9/18), but the Eagles' additional shot attempts from fouls, TO's, and offensive rebounds were just too much for the Jaguars to overcome.

Johnson-Brock saw Camden Dalinghaus drop 20 points on the board, with half of them coming at the charity stripe (10/12). He also tacked on five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Casen Dalinghaus ended up with 14 points, and Brody Koehler knocked down 13.

Howells-Dodge's Hunter Luther was the lone double-digit scorer for the Jags, dropping in ten.

The Jaguars end the season at 24-6, while Johnson-Brock winds up at 29-1. For Howells-Dodge, this is their second runner-up finish in D1, while this is the fifth D1 Title for Johnson-Brock. J-B is now 2-1 all-time against H-D in the State Tourney.
