Hastings resident Lafayette F. “Lafe” Anderson Jr., 93, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. with the family present 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 16, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Hastings Community Foundation. Lafe was born on April 5, 1931, in Park City, UT, to Lafayette Franklin Sr. and Rhoda L. (Workman) Anderson. He graduated from Hastings High School and Hastings College. Lafe married Betty Alice Kazebeer on August 20, 1950, in Hastings, NE.; she preceded him in death on June 1, 2002. He worked until he retired at Morrison & Quirk Corporation and Morrison Enterprises.

 

Lafe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Alice Anderson; three grandchildren; and a brother Weston.
