KEARNEY, Neb. — The rain stayed away from downtown Kearney and paradegoers had a beautiful morning to take in an annual tradition.

The Nebraska Shrine Bowl parade maneuvered the streets of Kearney on Saturday morning. The tradition is part of the festivities associated with the all-star high school football game. The game, in its 66th year, features senior all stars competing on North and South teams.

Kickoff for the football game is at 4:00 p.m. Central Time at Foster Field at Cope Stadium at UNK’s campus. The game will be televised on News Channel Nebraska. It will be available on radio on five NCN radio stations.

Proceeds from the game benefit Shriners Children’s, a network of medical facilities serving children with orthopedic conditions regardless of their ability to pay.
