Hastings Parks and Rec to feature 'Star Wars Day' public event on May 4
May the Fourth Be with You, a “Star Wars” celebration, is coming to Libs Park in Hastings next month.
By News Channel NebraskaHASTINGS, Neb. – May the Fourth Be with You, a “Star Wars” celebration, is coming to Libs Park in Hastings next month.
This free family event on May 4 will feature VR gaming, light saber training, a Jedi obstacle course, visitors from the 501st Legion, and more from 5-9 p.m.
At dusk that day, one Star Wars movie will be played and will be decided by popular vote.
From now until April 7, the public can visit the Hastings Parks and Recreation Facebook page to cast their vote on which of these movies they want to see:
“Episode VII – The Force Awakens”
“Episode VIII – The Last Jedi”
“Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”
“Solo: A Star Wars Story”
The event is being organized by Hastings Parks and Recreation, Hastings Public Library and Hastings Vision Clinic.
