NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Southwest Nebraska is under a tornado watch until this evening.

Dundy, Hitchcock and Red Willow Counties are currently under the watch until 7:00 p.m. CT/6:00 p.m. MT. Hitchcock and Dundy Counties were in a tornado warning until 4:30 p.m. CT/3:30 p.m. MT.

The National Weather Service also issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Chase Perkins and Hayes Counties until 5:15 p.m. CT/4:15 p.m. MT.

Meanwhile, much of the region is in a flood watch, reaching as far east as Broken Bow all the way to the western edge of the Nebraska Panhandle.
