JUNIATA, Neb. -- Fire crews in Adams County responded to a house fire in the 1100 Block of North Platte Ave. in Juniata.

According to Hastings Police Department Sgt. Kyle Williamson, Hastings Police got a call around 2:30 a.m. Monday of a house on fire. 

The Juniata Volunteer Fire Department was able to get the fire under control around 3 a.m.

Juniata Fire Chief Ed Consbruck said the fire was caused by a heat lamp in a little hut outside, for a cat, caught on fire. 

He said there was some damage to the backside of the house with burnt siding and a little smoke damage. 

All occupants in the home were able to make it out of the home safely and there were no injuries in the fire.
