Public School officials have removed a student from Hastings Middle School after they learned that the the student had made a series of threats to other students.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Public School officials have removed a student from Hastings Middle School after they learned that the the student had made a series of threats to other students.

A post on the Hastings Public Schools Facebook page indicates that school officials learned of the threats this week. There was no specific information about the number or nature of the threats. The post indicated that local law enforcement was investigating and that the parents of the student in question were cooperating. The post went on to say that the student in question, as well as all other students and staff were safe.

District officials asked that students or parents bring any further safety concerns to their attention.
