She graduated from Hastings High School in 1971 and graduated from Hastings Community College in 1974 with a Secretarial Degree. On July 19, 1980, she married Tom Moeller in Grand Island NE. While in Grand Island, Kris owned her own insurance business helping people to file their health insurance claims. Kris & Tom moved to Colorado Springs in 1993, where she worked as the Manager of a Weight Watcher Center, and was a surgery scheduler for 20 years. She retired in 2015.

She was very good at researching the internet. When they purchased an 1897 Victorian home, she spent time researching its history and getting it placed on the Historical Registry.

She loved spending time with family, especially the annual family campouts with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed camping in their Van Camper that Tom designed and made handicap accessible so they could continue their camping adventures. In their early years, she liked riding on her Harley Trike and going to Sturgis with their motorcycle group. Kris and Tom enjoyed being outside, hiking and target shooting. Kris loved cats, adopting strays and making them part of the family. Kris had a caring heart and if you had a need she was there to help. Throughout her life challenges she was always very positive. Kris had unending support from her husband Tom, who loved helping her and later being able to care for her in their home with daily life needs.

Kris is survived by her husband, Tom; two siblings, Mark (Patti) Krueger and Amy (Steve) Svoboda; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Russ) McMillan and Shelly (Lynn) Hankins; 10 nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vince and Dona Krueger; in-laws, Mervin & Bobby Moeller; brother, Todd Krueger; brother-in-law, Jerry Moeller; and niece, Erin Svoboda.
