Driver rescued from semi-tractor-trailer fire in Sidney
The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a semi-tractor-trailer fire at Love's Truck Stop at 3:18 Sunday morning.

SIDNEY -- The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a semi-tractor-trailer fire at Love's Truck Stop at 3:18 a.m. Sunday morning.
Department responded with One Engine, One Heavy Rescue, and Two Command. The fire was under control within five minutes of arrival.
The lone operator of the vehicle was asleep in the tractor at the time of the fire and was alerted by another driver pulling in for fuel. Together the two were able to disconnect the trailer as well as alert operators of nearby vehicles to get moved before the fire could spread.
Temperature at the time of the fire was -7°. Crews returned to the station at 4:29 a.m.
