KEARNEY, Neb. — A 15-day investigation into a pair of Kearney burglaries has concluded with an arrest in a different state.

Kearney Police announced Thursday that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 19-year-old Chance Ashmore of Kearney at a bus stop in Billings, Mont. Ashmore was wanted for two counts of felony burglary in connection to burglaries at Bread & Butter Tattoo and Herbal Wonder on Oct. 2.

According to a news release, officers also served a search warrant on Oct. 10 related to the case. The release says officers recovered several items from the burglaries and arrested 40-year-old Tim Wilson and 33-year-old Kirsty Cassidy, both of Kearney, for felony possession of stolen property connected to the burglaries.

“The teamwork to solve this case was exceptional and the police work by Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigations was professional and diligent,” Police Chief Bryan Waugh said in a statement. “I couldn’t be any more proud and less surprised by the work on this case and appreciate the assistance from our allied partners.”

The news release doesn’t say exactly what was stolen, but a social media post reveals some details. Bread N’ Butter Tattoo posted that the suspect stole three pen machines, a white inkjekta, a laptop, a power supply, lights and several coil machines.
