GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A man is in jail after police said they found him in possession of items he stole from a cemetery. 
 
Grand Island Police said a report of stolen items from the Grand Island Cemetery was filed on May 23.
 
According to reports, two urns containing cremated human remains and a decorative white floral vase were stolen from inside a mausoleum. 
 
Officers said they received information on May 27 that led them to a vehicle that may have been involved in the robbery. They obtained a warrant and found evidence when searching the vehicle.
 
Police identified the owner of the vehicle as Richard Boon and arrested him for burglary, prohibited acts with human remains, and criminal mischief.
