LINCOLN, Neb. — The Bellevue West girls basketball team held off Lincoln Southwest in the fourth quarter to win 57-51 and earn a spot in the state championship game.

The #3 Thunderbirds will face #1 Millard West in the title game. It’s Bellevue West’s first semifinals win since 2014 and they will try for their first championship since 2010.

The T-Birds controlled the game early, but the Silverhawks surged late in the second quarter to take a 31-30 lead at halftime. Bellevue West regained control in the third quarter and never looked back on the way to the win.

Grand Canyon recruit Naomi White powered the T-Birds with 16 points, 13 of which she scored in the second half. Huskers pledge Kennadi Williams led Southwest with 15 points in her final high school game.
