GRAND ISLAND, Neb.- A central Nebraska man is being charged for hitting the Hall County Attorney with his vehicle.

Courts records state that 85-year-old Raymond Vang is charged with failing to stop and render aid with no serious injury and failing to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk. 

According to records, the charges come after Vang was driving his vehicle and ran over the Hall County Attorney Gerard Piccolo on Aug. 1. Authorities said Vang left the scene without helping Piccolo.

The case is being prosecuted by the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. 

His next appearance in court is set for Feb. 13.
