LINCOLN, Neb. — Kadi Kimberly nailed a game-winning three-pointer and Adams Central defeated Bridgeport 47-44 in overtime.

The victory puts the Patriots (26-1) in the Class C-1 title game for the first time since they won the championship in 1995.

The game was tense from start to finish as neither side was able to build a double-digit lead. The teams were tied 10-10 after one quarter. The defenses dominated the second quarter and the Bulldogs (25-1) took a three-point led to halftime.

Both sides had opportunities to break the 40-40 tie in the final minute of regulation but were unable to. In overtime, Megyn Scott got the ball inside the lane and kicked out to Kimberly for the open look. She drained it and the Patriots held on for the win.

Bridgeport has lost only three times in the last two years: this game, a regular season loss to Adams Central last year, and the C-2 title game loss to Hastings St. Cecilia last year.
