GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Extreme cold weather and dangerously cold wind chills ranging from -35 to -50 are forecast for Wednesday night to Friday morning. 

According to the National Weather Service, hazardous travel conditions and dangerous wind chills may develop starting Wednesday night. 

In addition to the extreme cold, accumulating wind-blown snow of at least a few inches is expected.

Blizzard conditions are a concern. A winter storm watch for south central Nebraska runs from 6pm Wednesday through 6 p.m. Thursday. 

Weather official said this could result in frostbite in as little as 10 minutes.
