NORFOLK - It wasn't meant to be for Wilber-Clatonia.

The Wolverines cinderella story bid ended at the hands of top-seed Norfolk Catholic, losing the ball game 35-12. Despite an opening drive interception and winds gusting over 30 miles an hour, Wilber-Clatonia stayed committed to Coy Rosentreader and an aerial attack. This seemed to catch the Knights defense off guard.

With Norfolk Catholic ahead 14-0 at the time, the Wolverines and Knights would trade interceptions. Using two 30-plus yard passes, the Wolverines were looking to cut the lead in half. Fullback Tyson Kreshel would haul in a pass in the flat, but the officials would rule him down at the one as time expired.

The second half was all Norfolk Catholic. Karter Kerman ran for over 250 yards and four touchdown's. Coy Rosentreader did run for a score, but it was all for naught as the Knights would pour it on.

Wilber-Clatonia ends their season, one where they faced adversity at every turn, at 7-5 in the C-2 semifinals.
