Alda man accused of violent attack, arrested after standoff
A central Nebraska man accused of a violent attack last week was arrested Tuesday morning after a standoff.

ALDA, Neb. -- A central Nebraska man accused of a violent attack last week was arrested Tuesday morning after a standoff.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office says authorities went to the home of 36-year-old James Timmerman in Alda Tuesday morning.
He was arrested after a two-hour standoff.
He was wanted in connection with an incident last week where he threatened to kill his partner.
An arrest affidavit shows that Timmerman put the woman in a headlock, pointed a gun at her and himself, and stole her cell phone.
Police say the victim faked an injury and asked Timmerman to take her to the hospital.
There, she contacted police, but he already fled the area.
He's now facing seven felony charges.
