Hay Springs’ Mintken, Chadron’s Carnahan have strong performances at Alliance Track & Field Invite
Gage Mintken of Hay Springs was the only area athlete to come away with two individual gold medals at Tuesday’s Alliance Invitational. Mintken won the boys 110m and 300m hurdles by sizable margins.

Teammate Chaz Twarling won the triple jump by almost a foot. Chadron’s Carter Ryan was the other boys champion, claiming the 800m seven seconds faster than second place.
Chadron’s Kyndall Carnahan was a double gold medalist, winning the girls 800m and helping lead the Lady Cardinals 4x800m relay.
Also winning first for Chadron was Mackenzie Anderson in the girls 3200m run and Kenli Boeselager in the high jump.
Crawford’s Dalli Anders was the girls 200m champion.
Chadron took runner-up behind Alliance in both the boys and girls divisions.
