There's a new line of support for those on the frontlines.

The Nebraska medical association just went live with the life-bridge program. LifeBridge is a totally anonymous phone line connecting health care workers with stress management coaches - at absolutely no cost.

The program operates entirely separate from employers, requires no medical diagnosis, and leaves no record.

The NMA hopes the program will become a reliable pillar of support for health care workers.

A promotional video on the Nebraska Medical Association page says, “The goal is that Nebraska physicians will seek help as a normal response to acute and chronic stress, rather than just powering through.”

NMA officials say every person needs a safe place where they can talk about what's causing them stress, and physicians are no different.
