BIG SPRINGS - Senior running back Justin Ningen rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, senior end Oakley Hodges hauled in five passes for 112 yards and a touchdown, and the #6 Creek Valley football team defeated South Platte, 42-30, on Friday night in Big Springs.

Junior quarterback Eli Schmid finished 10-16 for 167 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also had nine tackles and an interception on defense.

Senior Clint Dolezal threw for 116 yards and three touchdowns on 7-9 passing. He rushed the ball 16 times for 131 yards. He also caught a touchdown for 15 yards.

Dolezal, junior Ethan Reichman, senior Ryan Cheleen and junior Colton Moorhead each caught a touchdown.

The Blue Knights drop to 4-2 and will be at Arthur County on Friday.

Potter-Dix 73, Banner County 0

POTTER - Senior Donald Moench ran the ball eight times for 192 yards and three touchdowns, and the #3 Potter-Dix football team beat Banner County, 73-0, on Friday night in Potter. 

The Coyotes finished with 318 total yards rushing. 

Moench, sophomore Ben Johnson and senior Brandon Mendoza each had an interception on defense. 

Freshman Brayden Kasten returned a punt for a touchdown.

Banner County is 0-7 this year and will finish the season at home vs. Sioux County on Friday.

Meanwhile, Potter-Dix (7-0, 3-0) will travel to Chappell on Friday to play Creek Valley (6-1, 3-0) for the Class D6-6 district championship. The Storm beat the Coyotes last year, 64-16. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
