BEATRICE - The National Weather Service is forecasting severe weather in the southeast part of the state through Friday.

According to social media posts made the the NWS in Omaha, bands of rain will move into the eastern part of the state on Friday morning.

They say the rain will continue into Friday afternoon and night.

The NWS has issued Hydrologic Outlook statements saying that potential river flooding may happen in Nemaha, Otoe and Richardson Counties.

They say Severe Weather is possible from Fairbury, Lincoln and Omaha Friday afternoon and evening.
