Several Local Schools Will Remain In Session This Week. Some Activities To Be Canceled.

Nebraska City- With the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic causing schools across the state to cancel activities and resort to online classes. River Country schools are working to remain on a normal schedule.
Nebraska City High School continued with their presentation of the Adams Family over the weekend, and Lourdes Central Catholic and Auburn plan to have normal class schedules for the week.
The Southeast District Health Department stated that as of 3/13/2020, there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, or Richardson counties
Although LCC will have classes, several activities have been postponed or canceled. The statement found on the Lourdes Facebook page can be seen below.

Auburn Public Schools released the following statement via their facebook page: APS is continuing to work closely with the Southeast Nebraska Health Department regarding COVID 19. In addition, we are following the guidelines and advice about the virus shared yesterday by the Governor and the Nebraska Department of Education.
Boys State Basketball Continued over the weekend with Auburn and Falls City Sacred Heart winning State Championships, but other activities, such as District Speech has been suspended until further notice.
