OMAHA, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) - An Omaha man has been convicted of first-degree murder and weapon use in the January 2018 shooting death of U.S. Army Sgt. Kyle LeFlore.

36-year-old Jason Devers, was not the gunman who killed 27-year-old LeFlore, but jurors convicted him Friday under a state law that holds accomplices accountable if someone is killed during the commission of a robbery.

Surveillance video showed Devers and the alleged gunman, Larry Goynes, at the Reign Lounge in the hours before the shooting. A girlfriend testified that she and Devers waited in Devers' truck to return after the robbery.

The jury's verdict in Devers' case means that Devers will be sentenced to life in prison. Judge Timothy Burns set sentencing for June.
